Framed handbill advertising a "Magic and Mystery" gift show from 1875, and announcing that the feats performed will be the same as those presented by "the late" Professor Anderson, Robert Houdin (misspelled as "Howdin") and Herr Dobler. Text at the bottom of the bill indicates that among the gifts distributed to the audience will be a Magic Lantern and magic set (or box of conjuring tricks, as it was then known). From the collection of Walter Gibson; this print hung in his Gray, Maine home for several years before being moved to his home in Eddyville, New York. Old marginal inked note identifying the date of the handbill in the upper right; some toning, else in very good condition.
