The magician displays a thin wooden tray. The tray is just large enough to hold a full poker-sized deck of cards, which is seen resting on top of the tray. A wooden lid is given for a full examination. When the lid is taken off the deck, the complete deck of cards has vanished, and in its place is a miniature deck, a large stack of coins, dice, candy, silks, flowers or whatever you want.
