The spot cards are shown, also ten miniature duplicates. The miniature cards are spread face down on the table. A mini clothes peg is placed on top of them. A card is now selected from the full-size peg. Talking about the sympathy between the two pegs, a further full-sized card is held above the miniatures for just a moment. It does not touch the spread, but when it is removed, the mini peg is seen to have attached itself to a mini card! Both mini and normal ‘pegged’ cards are turned face up and shown to match.
